You are warmly invited to join us for Soon Amore’s summer concert at York Cemetery Chapel (YO10 5AJ) on Sunday 6th July 2025 at 5pm. See poster and details below!
As always, we will perform a diverse and interesting programme of choral music, mostly ‘a cappella’, but with a little piano accompaniment here and there and a few pieces of poetry too. Our concert theme ‘Earth Song’ is a reflection on the current fragility of nature and the environment, despite both being a central part of all our lives. Through pieces about birds, animals, trees, rivers and lakes and wind and rain, we will see how composers and songwriters through the ages have drawn inspiration from the natural world and expressed our deep connection to it, our wish for it to endure and our duty to protect it. At this concert, we are delighted to be performing several pieces written by local composers as well as two new pieces written by members of the choir, so we hope to see you there and thank you for your support. Tickets: £10 (concessions £7) on the door (cash only please).
Thank you to all of you who attended our recent winter concert entitled “Into the Light” at the Unitarian Chapel. It was wonderful to have such a healthy audience in good spirits and good voice.
